I watched some movies.

Over the past week, I watched a few movies while I was on hiatus so here are some thoughts...

I have been trying to see the movie Seven since I was a freshman in college and I have never had any success. I tried drunk one night and fell asleep (well, past out) and then attempted to watch it the next day hung over and fell asleep again. While I was sick over the past week, I gave this a third try and fell asleep (thank you NyQuil) yet again! SO, I woke up the next morning and FINALLY FINISHED! I got really excited when I heard Kevin Spacey's voice on the telephone before they showed him as a character because he is totally my Hollywood older man crush. Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised by this movie because it was generally entertaining throughout, but I did not expect the twist at the end. 4/5

We also rented Be Kind Rewind, which was just really cute and not at all what I expected. It had me cracking up into many coughing fits while laying snot-ridden on the couch. I half expected it to take a turn for the Spike Lee and have some sort of race riot, but I was glad when it didn't. 4.5/5

And finally, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. I really didn't expect a whole lot from this movie going in to it because I heard a bunch of grumpy reviews from friends, but it was really entertaining. Shia LaBeouf was hilarious with his greaser hair, Harrison Ford was cute as ever, and the action kept me awake (despite the NyQuil!). It actually really made me want to rewatch the older Indiana Jones movies that I remember loving so much as a kid. 4.5/5
