Voter demographics are changing

So, I can't help but think about how the Unites States is changing. Not in the hope and change rhetoric, but in the legitimate, the population of people of color is growing and that must be terrifying for the conservative right. Women are the majority and vote at a higher rate then men.  So because I'm a nerd and like to play with charts, I give you a few to demonstrate the demographic information from the 2012 Presidential Election, the stats were provided by Pew. I didn't have the data so I have to use the percentages they have, which are probably correct, but I couldn't calculate rate of change for myself, which I like to do. They have a nifty little write up of course.

Below, you'll see the percentage each candidate took in the categories, which are arbitrary and not very inclusive. None of this is very surprising.

Below, a chart of the 2008 voter percentages by category, not candidate.
