Hey there friends...

So, it's been a little over a week since I've been here (miss me?) and I jokingly told Kari yesterday that I would try and read her 30 blog posts soon and she said it had not been 30 posts since my last one, and she was right. It's been 38! What a super star.

Anyway, my grandma died last week due to complications arising from dementia and Alzheimer's disease and while it was a generally sad affair, there were a lot of beautiful things that came from it as well. Over 400 people showed up to the wake on Friday night and almost 200 came to the funeral on Saturday morning. Seeing all these old friends and family members all gather together to tell stories and laugh and mourn for my grandmother was really more heartwarming than anything. I had expected the entire day to be nothing but tears and quiet, but after only about 30 minutes of mourning at the wake, there were people walking through the doors laughing with my family at pictures of my grandma making silly faces, or dancing with a rose chomped between her teeth. It really was a great way to remember her and I'm glad everything is over now and she is at rest.

Hopefully I will have some time today to post more, I've got thoughts in this head that I've not been able to express this last week.
