PETA Giving Veggie Lovers Everywhere a Bad Name

PETA is so wrong. I can't help it. I pick fights with these people on the Metro every chance I get, which subsequently isn't often enough. Honestly, every time I see an ad by them I want a cheeseburger. Thus supporting both the red-meat industry and the veal industry. Thanks dairy.

So it is that special time of year, when people pay a ridiculous amount for ads on television. I'm into football generally, but given both teams this year have accused rapists on them, I'm going to pass, which means I get to pass on the PETA that will objectify women for the sake of animal rights. I'm still unclear on why this is the tactic employed there, but hey it is. It's the democrat in me instead of converting back to meat; I'm just going to bitch.

Animal Rights VS. Women

I feel like we see this all the time. Animal rights' activists going for shock value by exploiting women. Aside, from this starting with a strip scene, and of course who doesn't connect stripping with fishing, it ends in a brutally violent scene. Violence against women is not the same as animal abuse. They are both wrong, but really not the same...not even close. Animals Awake is the Dutch group responsible for the ad.

Well, at Least PETA is Consistent by Keeping the Disappointment Coming

Oh, PETA...really this is weak even for you. I hate the "I'd rather go naked" campaign because I'm not willing to objectify and exploit women for the sake of animal rights. But now, PETA is branching out and exploiting the murder of DR. Tiller and equating Pro-Choice views with being vegetarian. I'm a vegetarian, and I can tell the difference between eating chicken nuggets and aborting fetuses.

I think this is wildly inappropriate and disrespectful to the memory of Dr. Tiller.

Exploit Women! Not Animals.

PETA, PETA, PETA...there you go again with your anti-women advertising. I feel like PETA is faster to put a naked/half-naked woman on a billboard than anyone else including beer ads and VS. I just don't get it. I mean we're people. I'm a vegetarian, but come on! I'm not going naked for animals, and I know "they're making a statement." However, how many times do we see men naked on a PETA ad?

Anyway, this ad was refused by the Super Bowl. This will be my only victory in the Super Bowl because of the Stealers and the Cardinals. Color me surprised by this too because I am sure women will be exploited left and right during this like every other year, but not for the sake of vegetables. I saw this ad on Wonkette.
