I broke down and watched Penelope. And I like it...I wanted to see it when it came out, and streamed it on Netflicks this afternoon. It was cute for what it was, and it was a romantic comedy targeting teenage girls. Christina Ricci plays the lead role, and generally I like her work. Reese Witherspoon's character didn't really add anything to the film except as lip service to her role as producer. I have a little crush on James McAvoy who plays our hero. Like most contemporary fairy tales the female lead rescues herself, and then lands the cute guy anyway. I of course like this trend.
I'm giving it a 3/5. It was seriously predictable, but a feel good movie about self acceptance. I'd totally watch it again. Also, another good soundtrack featuring Meiko's "Piano Song" among other good songs.

Since I've been working on taking photos more than drawing, I've started a
new blog. I'll continue to update this one - about as much as I already do
