Slavery in DC

Shocked?  Not really.  A creepy man, Soripada Lubis of Falls Church, held seven to eleven women in his home forcing them to work as domestics in Montgomery County.  The man took the women's passports, threatened to kill their families in Indonesia, and alert immigration if they tried to leave him.  The women lived with him on the weekends and worked through the week.  Though many women who are trafficked into the United States are forced into sexual slavery, in Washington many diplomats hire illegal immigrants as domestics, and then trap them.  Montgomery Country passed a law earlier this year protecting domestics by allowing workers to form contracts with their employers.  The non-profit organization Fair Fund was part of stopping this.
