Hey, I watched a good movie, too.

Last night, I got back on track with my movie watching and saw Battle Royale, as promised. This movie was so great. Again, I find myself creepily delighted with Japanese horror movies. The movie begins (no spoilers I promise, just generalities) with a bunch of students going on a class trip, and when they get there, they wake up with collars around their necks and they are told they will have to fight to the death for mocking the establishment (etc etc) and only one of them will survive.

As soon as it started, my fiance and I had a little giggle because it reminded us both of The Great Outdoor Fight but the movie was not quite as funny as the comic (if you can believe it). Basically, you leave this movie thinking "Wow, if you love someone, you really should tell them before it's too late and you accidentally kill them in an 'every man for himself' style battle royale."

So, I propose to the four of you who read this blog that you tell someone you care about them today because you never know when you might have to kill them to save yourself.
