And it only took 80 years. Previously, rape for the FBI was defined as the forcible carnal knowledge of a woman...Yeah. They used the word carnal. Anyway, this was a particularly limited definition leaving out all manner of sexual assault and actual rape. Carnal specifically refers to a man's knowledge of a woman (vaginal penetration). So this definition ruled out male on male rape, as well as rape where substances were used (though more than likely not enforced), oral, etc. Needless to say those crazy feminist have been going on about this for a while.
On Tuesday, an advisory group, Uniform Crime Report Subcommittee, voted unanimously to expand the definition of rape to:
“penetration, no matter how slight, of the vagina or anus with any body part or object, or oral penetration by a sex organ of another person, without the consent of the victim.”
This recommendation has now moved onto a higher advisory body and then to the FBI Director Robert Mueller.
