In Brazil, a nine year old girl was pregnant with twins after being raped by her step-father. Brazil does not have legalized abortion, but the government can grant women access for specific circumstances such as the life of the mother being at risk or the child's inability to be delivered. The victim underwent an abortion, which resulted in opposition from Brazil's Roman Catholic Church. The Church wanted to let you know that they still think it is murder.
Well done Brazil. Boo hiss Roman Catholic Church. The step-father is now in prison.
